
Mr. Bassem Benzayed
Mr. BENZAYED is a financial services adviser based in Tunisia, graduated in accounting, auditing and control from Carthage High Institute of Commercial Studies and he has a deep experience in internal control and corporate taxation.
Currently he is working with the ministry of finance for tax studies department ensuring the compliances with tax law and implementation of double taxation agreements.
Before joining the ministry of finance, he has participated as an audit consultant, carrying out audit assignments of the internal control systems of several public entities and he ensured UNHCR Chad asset audit during an advisory assignment conducted by BDO UK LLP.
He has also contributed as an advisory committee member for aligning the accounting system of public entities with the international accounting standards in force of the public sector.
He has held various positions in many organisations, he won the reward of the most motivated young minister during the celebration of the Tunisian Young Government Project and he won the prize of the best delegate upon the occasion of North Africa International Model United Nations.
Mr. BENZAYED is a university professor in corporate taxation at the Faculty of Economics and Management of Tunis and he participated in various workshops and training sessions on tax policy and international taxation organized by IMF, OECD and Deloitte.
Mr. BENZAYED is currently among expert databases of the Arab Planning Institute and the African Tax Administration Forum as Tax policy specialist
